Logistics Coordinator

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to work in our face paced environment at our corporate office in Boca Raton.  Your core strengths will be overseeing the day to day imports along with LTL and TL responsibilities as outlined.

This position will have oversight and collaborate with our domestic and Canadian facilities. You will be responsible for providing support, communication both internally and externally for imports and domestic transportation. Your objective is to provide administrative support to our satellite warehouses/offices relating to your core responsibilities listed.

Your goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
  • Oversight of vendor compliance relating to imports, international documentation and domestic transportation
  • Auditing, reviewing, updating of Commercial invoice, customs documentation and packing slips
  • Routing of both domestic LTL, TL inbound/outbound, drayage and import/international purchase orders
  • Accuracy as to making sure sales orders and transfer orders are processed correctly
  • Provide logistical support and coverage to the operations team
  • Ability to thoroughly review and Audit Customs Documentation
  • Streamlines the International shipping and transportation processes
  • Enter shipment detail into system (NetSuite)
  • Create commercial invoices for international shipments
  • Create Packing lists for domestic and International shipments
  • Provide tracking and POD information to Internal Customers
  • Audit Inbound International Shipments and ensure INCO term compliance
  • Communicate with Suppliers, Retailers, Sales and the Customer Service Team
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
  • Prepare accurate reports for upper management
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure
  • established deadlines are met

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Four Year Degree A Plus
  • 3-5 years Import/Export or LTL/TL (Transportation), Logistics or Supply Chain experience
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PPT. and Micro-soft access
  • Experience working directly with Customs Brokers and Customs Clearance process
  • Experience in working with internal and external customers in a service level industry
  • Thorough Understanding of International Shipping Rules/Guidelines and HTS codes
  • Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide logistical and operational support to the operations teams
  • Complete understanding of INCO Terms and how they are applied
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Computer-savvy (Netsuite experience is a plus)
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail, Ability to analyze data and understand connections
  • Effective verbal and written communication to the Logistics Manager or the Director of Operations as requested
